If only I had time
to write it down,
the words that elude me.
I had them right here,
surrounding, taunting.
Then. . .

The last of spring dies
And the cold winter creeps in.

..good to c u back after a long time & thank u for these jolly good words..
saying bye bye to writers' block? thats good then. liked the oriental feel here.
Powerful use of the word "taunting". And then...
Such a pregnant, dramatic pause!
Great piece!
Oh, I think I know what you mean in the second verse! I have written something in my thoughts, but lose them before they reach the page.
While some may claim this is about writer's block, I like to think of it as my early morning dreams, or words to a love lost.
oops! I hate it when someones see me with such clear vision ...
Yes, words can be so difficult to catch at times, and writing feels as rewarding as fishing barehanded!
Oh, the pain of a really good line--forgotten!
things that go missing - beautiful...
At times...it is hard to find ones self at a loss...for words.
Love this. Story of my life.
beautiful description... elusive life, written in fleeting words.. why are those always the best and long forgotten...
The fall is my favorite time. We must capture those words..nice-
